Pope Urges Unity in Angola
During his address in Luanda, the American-born pontiff encouraged Angolans to build a 'culture of justice' and move beyond the divisions created by decades of conflict.
Pope Leo also traveled to the Sanctuary of Mama Muxima, where he prayed for the victims of the historical African slave trade.
He emphasized that the 'scourge of corruption' must be eradicated to ensure a prosperous future for the continent.
The trip is the third leg of his high-profile journey through Africa, aimed at promoting peace and reconciliation.
