Peter Kay bomb hoax suspect in court

Omar Majed, 19, has been remanded in custody after appearing in Birmingham Magistrates' Court on charges related to a false bomb threat at a Peter Kay performance.

The alleged hoax led to the emergency evacuation of the Utilita Arena on Friday night, with the comedian being rushed off stage mid-show.

During the 11-minute hearing, Majed was ejected from the courtroom by a district judge following several verbal outbursts from the dock.

The incident has caused significant disruption to the city's entertainment schedule and prompted a major police investigation into the source of the threat.
