Artemis II Crew Returns Home

NASA celebrated the homecoming of the Artemis II crew on Saturday, marking a major milestone in the agency's effort to return humans to the lunar surface.

The mission traveled nearly 700,000 miles, setting a new distance record for human spaceflight while conducting critical tests of the Orion spacecraft.

With this phase complete, NASA is now focusing its attention on Artemis III, which aims to land the first woman and person of color on the moon by 2028.

The crew's return was met with emotional reunions and a renewed sense of global interest in deep-space exploration.
