Trump's Triumphal Arch reviewed

Trump's Triumphal Arch reviewed

The proposed monument, which would stand nearly 100 feet taller than Paris' Arc de Triomphe, is planned for a man-made island in the Potomac River.

While the administration champions the arch as a tribute to American victory, the project has faced significant public criticism regarding its cost and aesthetic.

Some members of the Commission of Fine Arts suggested downsizing the structure and removing planned gold-plated statues to address these concerns.

The arch is one of several architectural projects the president is pursuing to leave a permanent mark on the nation's capital.
