Nepal-Tibet flood disaster claims hundreds

A catastrophic flash flood and glacial collapse on the Nepal-Tibet border has killed at least 362 people, with around 1,000 still missing.

The disaster, triggered by unusual heat that melted ice and thawed glacial bonds, has devastated communities on both sides of the border.

Rescue efforts are ongoing, but the scale of the destruction is overwhelming.

Experts warn that climate change is making such glacial lake outburst floods more frequent and more severe.
