Paddington sweeps Olivier Awards

The stage adaptation of Michael Bond’s beloved bear led the field with eleven nominations and proved to be the night's biggest winner, taking home awards for direction and set design alongside its musical categories.

Rachel Zegler won Best Actress in a Musical for her role in Evita, while Rosamund Pike was named Best Actress for the legal drama Inter Alia.

The ceremony celebrated a resurgent year for the West End, with veteran performer Elaine Paige receiving a special tribute from the Queen.

Other notable winners included Paapa Essiedu and James Graham, highlighting the breadth of talent in the current London season.
