Poland thwarts Russian assassination plot

Poland's prime minister announced the arrest of a Russian citizen recruited by Russian intelligence to assassinate a Ukrainian-American dual citizen in Warsaw.

The target was described as "inconvenient to the Putin regime," marking the first time a Russian-ordered assassination attempt on an American citizen has been thwarted on NATO territory.
