Tornadoes devastate U.S. Midwest

Meteorologists confirmed that at least two dozen tornadoes touched down in a path stretching from Oklahoma to Minnesota.

In Lena, Illinois, the police chief reported that roofs were torn off buildings and trees were uprooted, while parts of Missouri and Wisconsin faced historic flooding.

Emergency crews are currently assessing the destruction and working to restore essential services to affected communities.

The severe weather outbreak comes amid concerns that record drought levels in other regions could worsen the upcoming wildfire season.
