Donaldson trial on track

The historical sexual offences trial of former DUP leader Sir Jeffrey Donaldson is 'on track' to begin on May 26, a judge has confirmed.

Donaldson and his wife Eleanor have both pleaded not guilty to all charges related to the case.

The trial had been delayed twice due to concerns over Lady Eleanor's mental health, but a judge in Belfast ruled that proceedings must now move forward.

Sir Jeffrey faces 18 counts, including rape, related to allegations spanning several decades.
