Scott Parker leaves Burnley

Burnley Football Club has announced the departure of head coach Scott Parker following the team's confirmed relegation to the Championship.

Parker, who led the side for two seasons, left by mutual consent after a string of disappointing results that saw the club fall adrift of safety.

The board has appointed assistant Mike Jackson as interim manager to lead the team through the final matches of the Premier League season.
