Hyundai Motor reaches tentative wage deal

Hyundai Motor and its labor union tentatively reached a wage agreement early Tuesday following a series of strikes that caused production disruptions.

The deal removes a major risk to the carmaker's production of new strategic vehicles, including the Avante, Grandeur and Tucson.

The agreement must still be ratified by union members.

The strikes had caused significant production losses for the company.
