Amy Winehouse's father loses High Court case

Mitch Winehouse, acting as the administrator of his daughter's estate, had sued for approximately £70,000 in profits from US auctions held in 2021 and 2023.

The defendants argued that the items were gifts from the singer and that they had every right to auction them.

Judge Mr. Justice Baker ruled against the estate, with Amy's friends stating that the public misrepresentation of their relationship had been 'painful and profoundly unjust.' The decision brings an end to a bitter multi-year legal dispute over the iconic artist's legacy.
