NASA Launches Historic Artemis II Mission
The Artemis II mission lifted off from Kennedy Space Center on Wednesday, carrying three Americans and one Canadian on a historic ten-day journey around the moon.
This mission represents the first time humans have ventured beyond low Earth orbit since the Apollo 17 flight in 1972.
While the crew will not land on the lunar surface, they will test the Orion spacecraft’s life support and navigation systems for future missions.
Despite minor initial glitches, including a temporary issue with the onboard waste management system, the flight remains on schedule for its lunar flyby.
