Nepal flash floods kill 165+, 1,000 missing

A glacial collapse triggered catastrophic flash floods along the Nepal-Tibet border, killing at least 165 people and leaving over 1,000 missing, including hundreds of foreign nationals.

The largest contingent of missing appears to be pilgrims traveling between Nepal and a sacred site in Tibet.

Scientists are divided on the cause, with some pointing to climate change increasing glacial instability and others suggesting an earthquake may have triggered the collapse.

Rescue teams from India, Singapore, and other nations are assisting in the search for survivors.
