Artemis II crew begins return journey
NASA's first crewed lunar voyage in over half a century is entering its final phase as the Orion capsule prepares for a Pacific Ocean splashdown.
During their journey, the crew observed a unique solar eclipse and conducted critical tests of the spacecraft's life-support systems.
The mission marks a significant milestone in the Artemis program's goal of returning humans to the lunar surface.
Flight controllers are now focused on the high-stakes reentry procedures scheduled for Friday.
