Iran Seizes Ships in Hormuz

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has seized at least two container ships, including the MSC Francesca and the Epaminondas, for alleged maritime violations.

These attacks involved gunfire and rocket-propelled grenades, causing significant damage to the vessels' bridges while they were transiting near Oman.

The seizures represent a direct challenge to the U.S. naval blockade and have effectively halted commercial traffic in the vital oil chokepoint.

International maritime agencies report that the crews are currently safe, but the vessels are being escorted to the Iranian coast.
