Israel strike kills Hamas son

An Israeli airstrike in Gaza City has killed Azzam Al-Hayya, the son of senior Hamas official and chief negotiator Khalil al-Hayya.

The strike, which targeted a building in the northern part of the Strip, also resulted in the deaths of at least five other individuals and wounded several others.

Hamas confirmed the death as its leadership held talks in Cairo aimed at preserving a fragile truce with Israel.

The incident marks the fourth son of Khalil al-Hayya to be killed in Israeli operations and has intensified concerns over the stability of ongoing ceasefire negotiations.
