China's export growth slows

China's export growth decelerated sharply in March, marking its weakest performance in six months as global energy costs surged.

The slowdown is largely attributed to supply disruptions and rising transport costs stemming from the conflict in the Middle East.

While exports rose only 2.5%, imports surged by nearly 28%, reflecting robust domestic demand for energy and raw materials.

Analysts warn that continued instability in the Persian Gulf could further hamper China's manufacturing sector and trade outlook.
