DOJ Watchdog Audits Epstein Files
Inspector General William Blier announced the probe Thursday to determine if the DOJ intentionally withheld information linking powerful figures to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The audit will also investigate the accidental leak of sensitive victim information that occurred during the document release in early 2026.
Lawmakers have accused the Trump administration of using the redaction process to protect political allies.
The findings are expected to be published later this year, though no specific timeline has been set.
