SPLC Indicted for Fraud

In a major legal blow to the prominent civil rights group, the Southern Poverty Law Center was hit with an 11-count federal indictment on Tuesday.

The charges include bank and wire fraud, alleging that the organization defrauded donors by using funds to pay informants to infiltrate far-right groups.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche stated that the program was used to 'manufacture racism' rather than dismantle it.

The SPLC has denied the allegations, characterizing the investigation as a politically motivated attack by the Trump administration.
