Palestine Action activists found guilty

Four activists from the group Palestine Action have been found guilty of criminal damage after a 2024 raid on an Elbit Systems facility in Bristol.

The court heard that the group used sledgehammers and crowbars to destroy equipment, causing over £1 million in damage to the Israeli-linked defense firm.

The activists claimed their actions were a justified attempt to prevent war crimes in Gaza, but the judge rejected this defense.

Sentencing is scheduled for next month, with the defendants facing potential prison terms for the high-value destruction of property.
