EU Unlocks €90B Ukraine Loan

Ukraine's war-ravaged economy has received a critical boost as EU leaders finalized a massive financial aid agreement in Cyprus.

The loan, intended to sustain military and civilian operations for the next two years, had been stalled for months due to political friction within the bloc.

In addition to the funding, the EU has approved its 20th package of sanctions against Russia, targeting more banks and energy entities.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy hailed the decision as fundamental to his country's survival as it faces intensified Russian drone attacks.
