Gunfire Outside US Consulate in Toronto

Toronto police are investigating after shots were fired outside the US Consulate early Monday morning.

A shell casing was recovered and no injuries were reported, with a white sedan seen fleeing the scene.

A police security detail was subsequently stationed at the consulate, and it was an officer on that detail who first reported the gunshot.

This marks the second time this year the facility has been targeted by gunfire.
