Cannes Palm Dog Award winner

Yuri, a rescue dog from the Chilean movie 'La Perra,' has won the coveted Palm Dog award at the Cannes Film Festival.

The unofficial but highly popular prize celebrates the best canine performances across the festival's various selections.

Director Dominga Sotomayor collected the dog collar prize on behalf of the star pooch.

The award ceremony remains a beloved tradition on the Croisette, occurring just before the official Palme d'Or announcement.
