Artemis II mission reaches halfway

NASA has released breathtaking photographs of Earth taken by the Artemis II crew, showing deep blue oceans and shimmering auroras from halfway to the moon.

This historic mission marks the first time humans have journeyed toward the lunar surface since the end of the Apollo era in 1972.

The four-person crew is currently testing survival systems and preparing for a trajectory that will take them 10,300 kilometers beyond the satellite.

Scientists are providing real-time guidance to the astronauts on documenting the lunar far side during their upcoming pass.
