Hamas sexual violence 'systematic'

A detailed report released by an Israeli non-profit has documented systematic and widespread sexual violence during the October 7 Hamas attacks.

The investigation, which reviewed over 400 testimonies and nearly 2,000 hours of footage, identified 13 distinct patterns of gender-based violence used against victims.

The findings suggest that such acts were not incidental but rather a central component of the assault strategy.

Additionally, several former hostages have recently come forward to share their own accounts of sexual assault while in captivity in the Gaza Strip.
