UAE to bypass Strait of Hormuz

The United Arab Emirates has announced it will accelerate the construction of a new oil pipeline to double its export capacity bypassing the Strait of Hormuz.

The project is expected to be operational by 2027, securing crude exports against potential regional disruptions.

The move comes as the ongoing U.S.-Israeli war with Iran has frequently threatened the closure of the strategic waterway.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi stated that the new west-east pipeline is essential to meeting global energy demands and ensuring national security.

This infrastructure push coincides with increased cooperation between the UAE and India on strategic petroleum reserves.
