Amnesty Warns of Collapsing Order
In its annual report, Amnesty accused powerful states of using double standards and weakening multilateral institutions to impose a new 'predatory' world order.
The group highlighted the humanitarian catastrophes in Gaza, Ukraine, and Sudan as evidence of a systemic failure to protect international law.
Secretary General Agnès Callamard argued that most countries are too 'cowardly' to stop the decline of human rights.
The report also criticized Ireland for its failure to enact laws banning trade with illegal Israeli settlements.
