Lebanese journalist killed in strike

Amal Khalil, a reporter for the Al-Akhbar newspaper, was killed when an Israeli missile struck a house where she had taken cover in the village of al-Tiri.

Her colleague, photojournalist Zeinab Faraj, was seriously wounded in the same attack and remains in stable condition following surgery.

Rescue efforts were reportedly delayed for hours by continued Israeli fire, which targeted paramedics attempting to reach the site.

The Committee to Protect Journalists has expressed outrage over the incident, which marks the ninth death of a media worker in the region this year.
