Galway reach Connacht final

Galway were pushed to the limit by a resilient Leitrim side in a competitive Connacht semi-final at Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada.

The lower-division underdogs threatened to pull off their biggest result in three decades after scoring two quick-fire goals in the second half.

However, Galway's composure and superior fitness allowed them to pull away in the final ten minutes, securing a narrow two-point victory.

The Tribesmen now advance to the provincial final, where they will face the winners of the Mayo versus Roscommon matchup.
