Nathalie Baye dies at 77

Baye rose to international prominence with her role in François Truffaut's 'Day for Night' and later appeared in Steven Spielberg's 'Catch Me If You Can.' President Emmanuel Macron led the tributes, stating that France had 'loved, dreamed and grown up' with the versatile performer.

Known for her ability to navigate drama, thrillers, and comedies, her final major role was in the 'Downton Abbey: A New Era' film.

She is survived by her daughter, actress Laura Smet, from her high-profile relationship with Johnny Hallyday.
