Artemis II Lunar Flyby Complete
NASA's Artemis II mission has achieved several historic milestones, including traveling farther from Earth than any previous human-crewed spacecraft.
The crew, consisting of three Americans and one Canadian, performed critical scientific observations and shared spectacular photos of the lunar surface taken on iPhones.
A poignant moment occurred during the flyby when the crew named a lunar crater 'Carroll' in honor of mission commander Reid Wiseman's late wife.
The Orion capsule is expected to splash down in the Pacific Ocean this Friday evening, concluding the 10-day journey.
