Israel-Hezbollah conflict intensifies

The conflict in southern Lebanon has reached a devastating new peak, with hundreds of casualties reported in a single day of strikes.

Lebanese health officials warn that the medical system is on the verge of collapse as hospitals struggle to cope with thousands of wounded civilians.

While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to continue military operations, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has expressed readiness for a negotiated end to the war.

The violence has displaced millions and caused significant damage to infrastructure, including historic sites in Tyre and Beirut.
