Trump's arch design approved
A federal commission has approved a modified design for President Trump's proposed 250-foot triumphal arch to be built at the entrance to Washington, D.C. The design was adjusted to remove four gold lions from the base and reduce the overall height.
The Commission of Fine Arts, now composed primarily of Trump appointees, granted final approval despite public pushback and ongoing lawsuits.
Critics argue the monument will obstruct views of Arlington National Cemetery and serves as a symbol of presidential vanity.
