Met Gala 'Costume Art' exhibition

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has opened its annual Costume Institute show, titled 'Costume Art,' in a new exhibition space.

The show pairs historic garments with works of art from its collection to explore the relationship between fashion and the human form.

This year's Met Gala raised a record $42 million to fund curators and preserve the museum's extensive fashion archives.
