North Korea launches ballistic missiles

Pyongyang has conducted its seventh missile test of the year, launching several short-range ballistic missiles from the Sinpo area toward the sea.

South Korea's Defense Ministry confirmed the activity and is analyzing whether the missiles were launched from land-based platforms or submarines.

The provocation comes as the UN warns of significant progress in North Korea's efforts to build nuclear weapons.

International leaders have urged Kim Jong-un to cease these activities, which continue to violate multiple Security Council resolutions.
