Russia hits Kyiv in 'longest barrage'

The Ukrainian capital Kyiv has endured one of the longest aerial barrages of the war as Russia launched a massive wave of ballistic missiles and drones.

Local officials reported damage across six districts, with several residents trapped under the rubble of collapsed buildings.

The attack resulted in at least one fatality and over 30 injuries in the capital alone.

Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko stated that the assault targeted civilian infrastructure and was intended to overload the city's defense systems.
