Eight Dead in B-52 Crash at Edwards AFB

A U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortress crashed shortly after takeoff at Edwards Air Force Base in California, killing all eight people aboard.

Early flight tracking data shows the bomber made a sharp right turn and nearly completed a 180-degree maneuver before plunging to the ground at nearly a mile a minute.

The aircraft was on a routine test mission when the accident occurred.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
