NATO Leaders Gather in Ankara Amid Tensions with Trump

NATO leaders are set to meet in Ankara on July 7-8 for a high-stakes summit aimed at smoothing tensions with President Trump, who has called continued US support 'ridiculous.' European members are expected to discuss taking on more defense responsibilities as Washington seeks to rebalance the transatlantic alliance.

European NATO allies have mostly replaced the assets that the US has cut from its rescue plans.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is expected to attend the summit.
