Trump Extends Iran Ceasefire

President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that the United States would indefinitely extend its ceasefire with Iran, hours before it was set to expire.

While the pause in hostilities continues, Trump maintained that the naval blockade of Iranian ports will remain in place until a unified peace proposal is submitted.

The second round of in-person talks in Islamabad remains in limbo as negotiators from both sides have yet to arrive.

International mediators, led by Pakistan, are scrambling to bring both delegations back to the table to avoid a return to active conflict.
