SK Hynix Raises $26.5 Billion in US IPO

SK Hynix shares began trading on the Nasdaq after pricing above the initial range, raising $26.5 billion in the largest U.S. IPO by a foreign company.

The listing highlights surging demand for high-bandwidth memory chips used in AI applications.

CEO Kwak Noh-Jung warned that the memory supply shortage could worsen in 2027 and that demand is expected to outstrip supply beyond 2030.

The debut comes as single-stock ETFs tied to the offering introduced new leveraged bets, reflecting investor appetite for AI infrastructure plays.
