Supreme Court Upholds Trans Athlete Bans in Schools

The Supreme Court issued a 6-3 ruling allowing states to prohibit transgender women and girls from participating in female sports at publicly funded institutions.

The decision upholds laws in West Virginia, Idaho, and more than two dozen other Republican-led states.

Justice Clarence Thomas, writing a concurrence, described transgender rhetoric as 'a lie to the public'.

President Trump celebrated the ruling as a 'BIG WIN', while civil rights advocates condemned the decision as legal scapegoating that goes far beyond athletics.
