Artemis II crew returns home

NASA celebrated a major milestone as the Artemis II crew, consisting of three Americans and one Canadian, returned to Earth following a flawless mission around the Moon.

The Orion capsule hurtled through the atmosphere at 25,000 miles per hour before splashing down off the coast of San Diego.

During their 10-day voyage, the astronauts captured unprecedented high-resolution imagery and tested critical systems for future lunar landings.

While the mission is hailed as a technical triumph, the program faces looming uncertainty due to proposed federal budget cuts targeting the Space Launch System.
