Fatal Bedford Train Crash Investigated

A train driver was killed and more than 100 people were injured when two trains collided near Bedford on Friday, with investigators probing a possible signal fault.

Network Rail says the recovery operation is complex and disruption will last for days.

Major disruption will continue for at least a week, affecting services between Bedford and London St Pancras, including the Luton Airport Express.

The driver's death has prompted tributes, and 11 people remain very seriously injured.
