Hampshire College closes

The closure has left alumni and the local community devastated, as the school was known for its unique, non-traditional approach to higher education.

President Jennifer Chrisler stated that despite exhaustive efforts to find a partner or secure new funding, the path forward was no longer viable.

The college has committed to helping its current students transfer to other institutions to ensure they are not left in the lurch.
