Sam Altman home attack suspect

A 20-year-old Texas man has been charged with attempted murder and arson after allegedly throwing a Molotov cocktail at the home of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.

Authorities discovered an 'anti-AI' document authored by the suspect that listed several other prominent tech executives as potential targets.

The suspect, identified as Daniel Moreno-Gama, also allegedly attempted to set fire to OpenAI's San Francisco headquarters.

Federal prosecutors stated that Moreno-Gama viewed artificial intelligence as an existential threat to humanity and intended to kill Altman.
