Trump's WSJ defamation suit dismissed

Trump's WSJ defamation suit dismissed

U.S. District Judge Darrin P. Gayles has ruled that President Trump failed to provide sufficient evidence that the Wall Street Journal acted with 'actual malice' in its reporting.

The lawsuit, which also named Rupert Murdoch and News Corp, claimed the 2003 letter bearing Trump's signature was a forgery.

While the judge dismissed the current complaint, he granted Trump the opportunity to refile the case if new evidence can be presented.

The ruling is a significant legal setback for the president as he attempts to distance himself from his past association with Epstein.
