Artemis II Returns Home

The four-person crew, including Commander Reid Wiseman and Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen, has successfully concluded its record-setting flight beyond low Earth orbit.

During their journey, the astronauts captured unprecedented high-resolution images of the moon's far side and witnessed a rare solar eclipse from deep space.

Mission Control in Houston is now monitoring the critical 14-minute reentry sequence, which will see the capsule endure temperatures of nearly 3,000 degrees Celsius.

This mission serves as a vital proving ground for the upcoming Artemis III landing and the eventual establishment of a permanent lunar base.
