Robot Smashes Half-Marathon Record

In a demonstration of China's rapidly advancing technology, a humanoid robot has outperformed elite human runners in a Beijing half-marathon.

The winning robot, named 'Lightning', shattered the previous record for a robotic participant and finished several minutes ahead of the human world record set by Jacob Kiplimo.

Over 100 robots competed in the event, with some navigating the course autonomously while others were remotely controlled.

This breakthrough highlights the intensifying global competition in robotics and AI between China and the United States.
