Norway Welcomes World Cup Heroes Home

More than 100,000 Norwegians turned out in Oslo to celebrate the national team's historic World Cup quarterfinal run, with Crown Prince Haakon leading a 'Viking row' celebration on the steps of the Royal Palace.

Star striker Erling Haaland returned with an unusual souvenir — a taxidermied raccoon that quickly became a viral sensation, along with custom Stetsons and cowboy boots collected during the tournament.

The team was hailed as national heroes despite their elimination by England in the quarterfinals.

The homecoming celebration was one of the largest public gatherings in Norwegian history, underscoring the country's pride in its football team's unexpected success.
